Bearing
assemblies accepted in an exchange agreement are dismantled
and carefully cleaned. The ball and rolling elements
are discarded. The other elements are carefully checked,
measured,
and where possible reused. Measurements take place in
a special "clean room" maintained at a constant
temperature. This is necessary to achieve a measuring
precision of one thousandth of a millimeter. |
|
|
The
reusable components are reassembled, using new ball and/or
rolling elements, into new units. The ball bearings are
manufactured by SNR France, exclusively for TurboNed,
complying the P4/P5 class of tolerance. |

|
The
bearings are then assembled into the bearing housing
on a test bench. For this, TurboNed has developed a special
measuring system so that the correct position of the
bearing, at a certain test pressure, can be determined
with great accuracy. |
|
|
After
adjustments, the bearing units are submerged in a
bath of preservative for a minimum of half an hour to allow
all the air to escape. They are finally sealed in airtight
metal containers and are then stored as spare parts. |
